Chuck Burton has been an active photographer and amateur astronomer since his high school days in the early seventies. He combined these interests, which led to new photographic challenges: the extraterrestrial worlds of star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies.
His enjoyment of unusual photographic opportunities led him to venture into the subterranean world of Carlsbad Caverns. A number of his images have been published in books and calendars sold at retail exclusively by the Carlsbad Caverns Guadalupe Mountains Association bookstore.
In 2005, he founded Burton PhotoGrafix. This small business specializes in custom work including photo restoration, archival photographic printing and enlargements.
Today, Chuck enthusiastically shares his interest of astronomy with the public as he presents night sky programs at local State and National Parks.
